Acleris bullata is a species of moth of the family Tortricidae. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Texas and California.
The wingspan is 12–14 mm. The forewings are ocherous yellow with darker spots on the costa. The hindwings are whitish.
The larvae feed on Quercus, Corylus, Fagus, Picea and Pinus species.

In the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling in favour of gay marriage the debate has once again been reignited regarding the issue. Below we will explore the psychology behind the debate and why some people still oppose gay marriage.
The Debate: The Social Context
If we take a look at the media coverage over the past few days it is clear that while the legal system has swung in favor of gay marriage, the views of the general public have not shifted at all. This is actually quite surprising as the country’s two largest political parties, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives, are both resolutely in favor of the issue. So it has been a fairly unified debate among the political and media landscape.
What is clear is that there has been an enormous shift in political sentiment in recent years and it appears to be largely due to the changing perceptions of the gay community. The difference in the language used in public debate is enormous. Things that were considered a taboo in the past are now referred to as ‘gay marriage’, a term which seems to reflect the ease with which society has come to accept the term and its implications. This explains the rhetoric we’ve been hearing in recent weeks and it makes sense that there are some people who are still opposed to gay marriage, or at least the legal term for the marriage that was granted by the Supreme Court.
